Achintya Bezbaruah is a Professor of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at North Dakota State University (NDSU, Fargo, www.ndsu.edu). At NDSU his research group extensively works on environmental nanotechnology for groundwater remediation and agricultural applications. Specifically, his Nanoenvirology Research Group (https://www.nrgndsu.org) works on plant-nanoparticle-microbe interactions at the molecular level and plant nutrient fortification using nanotechnology. His research has been funded by NSF, NIFA, DoD, USGS, and State of North Dakota. An active member of SNO since its inception, Achintya is instrumental in promoting young professional activities including NanoPitch and SNO student organization.
